R.I.P. Andy Hallet :(

Andy Hallet died on Sunday night at the age of 33 due to heart failure. Andy played Lorne on the Buffy spin-off series Angel, the friendly demon who reads people when they open up at the karaoke mic. Joss Whedon created the role of Lorne especially for him after Joss Whedon saw Andy Hallett performing at an L.A. nightclub. After Angel ended, Hallett saw a doctor about his worsening fatigue and learned that he had a congestive heart disease. He lost the five-year battle in the hospital with his father by his side. Rest in Peace Andy, we will miss you!!!

Do I think about this kind of stuff too much?

Pop Culture Hero

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is #8 on out of the 20 All-Time Coolest Heroes in Pop-Culture! According to EW.com, Buffy is just between Han Solo and Robin Hood, and she beat out the epic heroes like Spiderman, Batman and Nancy Drew.

"WHY HER: No one kicks undead ass with more stylin' sass than the SoCal blonde, immortalized by Sarah Michelle Gellar in Joss Whedon's TV series. To quote her tombstone, ''She saved the world — a lot.''MOST HEROIC MOVE: To protect her sister — and humanity — she jumps to her (temporary) death in a snarling portal of evil." (EW.com)
