R.I.P. Andy Hallet :(

Andy Hallet died on Sunday night at the age of 33 due to heart failure. Andy played Lorne on the Buffy spin-off series Angel, the friendly demon who reads people when they open up at the karaoke mic. Joss Whedon created the role of Lorne especially for him after Joss Whedon saw Andy Hallett performing at an L.A. nightclub. After Angel ended, Hallett saw a doctor about his worsening fatigue and learned that he had a congestive heart disease. He lost the five-year battle in the hospital with his father by his side. Rest in Peace Andy, we will miss you!!!

Eliza I'm a big fan!

Alright, so if you can't tell by now, I am a HUGE fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and anything created by Joss Whedon. But I also secretly have a girl crush on the actress Eliza Dushku, so naturally I am in LOVE with the new T.V. show Dollhouse which is a creation of Joss Whedon's and stars Dushku! It's about a company that erases people's minds (the "dolls") and can turn them into assassins, temporary girlfriends and even back-up dancers. Dushku plays Echo, the main doll, and goes on various adventures in every episode. Joss Whedon of course adds complex mysteries into the mix...so if you're interested in watching, here's a great link that reviews the show. Check it out (Dollhouse is on FOX Friday nights at 8):

Everything I know, I learned for Buffy

At the young age of 16, Buffy Anne Summers became the Slayer. "She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness." Buffy attends Sunnydale High School in California and deals with the challenges of life, love, high school, and of course...demons and vampires with the help of her friends Willow Rosenburg, Xander Harris and watcher Rupert Giles. Together, the "Scooby Gang" slay actual and personal demons and stop the apocalypse (on several occasions). But most importantly, they learn that growing up can be Hell sometimes...literally!

This is the basic summary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer--one of the most original and innovative series that has graced the T.V. screen. I have learned so much from the show that I grew up watching.

All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Buffy's wit and wisdom was there on the television screen! These are the things that I've learned (and some interesting trivia along the way)!
